LIGHT: Calathea Freddy requires bright indirect sunlight but are tolerant of lower light conditions.
WATER: Never allow roots to be soaked with standing in water but they do enjoy continuous availability of water in their soil.
GROWTH HABIT: Calathea Freddy has leaves similar to the Calathea Makoyana. The differences are that the stripes on the Freddy are more uniformed and the leaves are narrower and longer. Calatheas grow by means of a creeping rhizome but are not at all invasive. Your plant will expand quickly enough to fill a decorative pot or that shady area in your garden.
SIZE: Will grow 20-50cm tall.
